Event Planner Job Opening

The City of Huntsville is announcing a new opportunity for a part‑time, per‑event Event Planner to support the growing lineup of community events throughout the year. This contract position will work closely with the Economic Development & Tourism Commission and the Office of the Mayor to help plan, promote, and carry out events that bring residents together and strengthen community pride.

The ideal candidate is community‑minded, eager to get involved locally, and excited to help create events that engage residents of all ages — especially Huntsville’s young people. Responsibilities include coordinating event logistics, managing vendors and volunteers, assisting with marketing and outreach, and supporting on‑site event operations.
