The City of Huntsville is proud to continue its support for the Madison County Senior Activity Center and the vital services it provides to older adults in our community. At April's City Council meeting, the council unanimously approved a $5,000 appropriation to help the center continue offering meals, activities, transportation, and social programs for Madison County seniors.
Mayor Travis Dotson presented the check to Nicole Smith, Madison County Executive Director, and Karan Freeman, recognizing the center’s long-standing commitment to improving quality of life for older residents across the county.
Mayor Dotson shared his appreciation for the center’s impact, noting that the Senior Activity Center “plays an essential role in keeping our seniors connected, supported, and engaged. We’re grateful for the work they do every day.”
The City of Huntsville is honored to partner with the Madison County Senior Activity Center and remains committed to supporting programs that strengthen the well‑being of residents throughout our community and county.
